STEP TWO: RELEASE AND LET GO TO START YOUR YEAR

Photo by Omid Armin on Unsplash

“Don’t put a newly cooked rice at the top of your spoiled one.”

Or else, you are shall be eating spoiled food. The next step in preparing ourselves for a new action is to release any spoiled parts of ourselves. If you haven’t read Step One, please read first the first step at this link:

STEP ONE: SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN

Many people jump into visioning and making plans and actions without releasing first what can block along the way. After we have sat down and sought God within us, the next step is to heal ourselves to release anything thought and emotions that can block us along the way. Unhealed emotions and negative thoughts comprise our vibrations and vibrations are necessary for manifestation.

How can these blocks affect us?

Any actions come from emotions and thoughts. Therefore, unwanted and unhealthy thoughts and actions can lead us into 1) repeating the same patterns of actions and results that lead us to stagnant progress and 2) pessimism and fear that can freeze our actions for progress in life.

Failure to address these blocks, in the long run, can lead us into the following:

  1. Regression or retardation of spiritual growth
  2. Unrest of mind and confusion
  3. Inability to connect to ones’ Higher Self or Mind
  4. Attracting negative people or experiences.
  5. Confusion about life and events
  6. Addiction to past experiences.
  7. Self-destruction
  8. Hopelessness

To address the block and move smoothly in life, we may do the following actions:

Action 1: Check on your chakras through the following questions: (For those who do not know chakras, chakras also called energy centers contain our thoughts and emotions.)

Go into a meditative state. Start with a prayer. Then ask the following questions while putting your hands on each chakra. Be mindful of your intuitive answer. If you are a Reiki practitioner, then you can invoke Reiki on this exercise or invoke the angels for each chakra.

CHAKRAS

HAND POSITIONS

QUERY

BLOCKS

 Base Energy Center

Put your hands on the lower back at the end of the spinal column.

       a)  Do I feel alone in life?

      b)      Do I feel that life is so hard?

      c)      Do I feel unsupported?

Feeling Unsupported by the Cosmos

Sacral Energy Center

    b)      Am I confused about life?

Narrowmindedness

Crown Center

Put your hands on your crown

     a)      Do I call God to guide me in my life?

     b)      Do I have deep faith and trust in God?

Separation from God

Action 2:  After your reflection, then we now start to let go with healing and affirmations. (Note that recognition and acceptance of what blocks us start the healing process. So, many lightworkers hesitate to look and examine their past for fear of being stuck on it. This is a wrong interpretation. We all can live in the present and move to the future when we revisit the past with acceptance and forgiveness. There is a pre-requisite to saying “Forget the past and move on. The important requirement is that one has already been friends with the past so that they can close or forget peacefully.)

  1. Put your hands in the praying position and say,  "Through the Power of my God‐Mind, I release past negativity and release my mind – God-directed – into a positive future."
  2. Say the affirmation, doing the hand positions in each chakra. Feel the energy of the affirmations.

AFFIRMATIONS

 Base Energy Center

Put your hands on the lower back at the end of the spinal column.

I am One with the support of the Universe.

Sacral Energy Center

Put your hands on the lower part of the stomach.

I am One with prosperity and material wealth – immediately, now, and eternally.

Solar Plexus

Put your hands on the upper part of the stomach.

I am One with the power of the Divine who is within me.

 Heart Center

Put your hands on the center of your heart.

I am One with a perfect love in all of my relationships immediately, now, and eternally

Put your hands on your throat.

I am One with my chosen path  – immediately, now, and eternally.

Forehead Center

Put your hands on your forehead

I am One with the mind of God.

Crown Center

I am one with God.

Action 3:  End with gratitude. Gratitude can take into many forms. It can be a prayer, a song, or an offering.

Now you are ready for the last action which is empowering the vision and action.

Hold on for the Step 3:

Blessings,

 Aisa

START THE NEW YEAR – STEP ONE: SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN

“ But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” – Mather 6:33

The above verse is my inspiration and my guide.

The new year always comes to everyone as a new beginning. To everyone, it is the time to plan, a time to visualize, a time to affirm, and a time to execute. However, let us not rush. It is good to see the alignment of our mind to our spirit. The holiday season prepares us for this connection. Let us see the season deeply.

It is desgined that the Christmas Season ends with the observance of Epiphany. After celebrating the Light of Christ, we are being led to seek the light within as our Guide for the New Year. This is the symbolic meaning of the three kings who allowed themselves to be guided by the bright star.

Esoterically, the three kings symbolized the “body”, “mind”, and “spirit”. Their going back home after finding the Baby Jesus is like our going back home to our mundane life. This time with the Christ Light.

I invite you first to spend a time of prayer and reflection before anything else. You may have a retreat or just 2-3 hours with God.

  1. Sit in meditation. If you are a Reiki Practitioner, do the Gassho Meditation. Spend a minimum of 30 minutes feeling the presence of God. Feel God through your breath or just be in silence.
  2. Read a spiritual text either the Holy Scripture, Bhagavad Gita, or other books that you resonate with. Allow yourself to be led to an inspirational message.
  3. Talk to God. You may ask questions. Allow yourself to receive an answer if not at the moment but in the coming days
  4. When you feel the great presence of God in your activity – start to look back on the past year. See your experience through God’s lens.
  5. End with gratitude. Be creative. Write, draw, or make a collage.
  6. Just a note. You may divide your time for steps 1-5.

God’s inspiration will lead us into illumination and unto the next step which is healing and releasing, my next block.

Love and Light,

Aisa

Practicing Reiki and Christianity - Is This Possible? (Reiki and Christianity Part 1)

The question of whether Reiki and Christianity can go together is always a question to the  majority of Christians who practice Reiki. The result of the confusion can be the following : 1) a Christian will become a universalist, dropping the Christian practice as a religion; 2) a Christian continues to practice Reiki and follows a spiritual path without a religion; or  3) a Christian will hide the Reiki practice to fellow Christians for fear of being condemned.

The question became a confusion in 2009 when the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) issued  the “Guidelines For Evaluating Reiki An Alternative Therapy”. It was followed by some groups of conservative Christians who released guidelines on identifying occult practices which included the following: practicing yoga, going to a Buddhist temple, seeing a Chiropractic doctor who diagnoses with Yin and Yang, pranic healing, using crystals, and many others. The most recent was Doreen Virtue's scare campaign also on occult practices, which she practiced before.

It was really saddening for the Catholic and Christians to condemn some spiritual practices outside the Christian faith, denying that those practices have contributed to the good health, good living, finding God and spiritual living of people on Earth. This condemnation is coming from fear and ignorance of other spiritual and religious practices outside the Christian and Catholic faith.

The Response

As a response by the community of Reiki practitioners, a Christian Reiki Group is formed in the United States. Understanding that God is a Universal God and that God is present in all spiritual practices founded by love and service to God and humanity, the Christian Reiki group gives testimonials on how Reiki has strengthened the Christian faith of nuns, priests, and lay people who practice Reiki.

William Lee Rand of Center for International Reiki Training has also issued a separate statement as a response to the US bishops.

Reiki and Christianity

Reiki is not a religion, but it represents a universal consciousness of spiritual practice. Mikao
Usui wanted to share reiki to everyone regardless of religion. Like Christianity, Jesus Christ did not form the Christianity as an exclusive religion. He just wanted his followers to follow the spiritual path which he called The Way.

Reiki and Christianity have one thing in common, which is the gift of healing and use of “spiritual energy or universal energy”. Reiki can be related to the Holy Spirit in Christian tradition.

Let us start to compare Reiki and the Holy Spirit:

Reiki and Christianity as Spiritual Energy

            Reiki
“Rei” – means spiritual and “Ki” means energy. Reiki is present in all creation and is the
living force behind it. There can never be any other spiritual energy that fulfills the creation of all living things other than the spiritual energy which is the manifestation of God.

Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Holy Trinity, an aspect of God.

The concept of the Holy Spirit falls within the same understanding of Reiki. The difference can come from the human sources which for the Christians are from the patriarchs and apostles in Old and New Testament and for Reiki is  from Mikao Usui, a Buddhist Monk. The concepts of Reiki and the Holy Spirit are also influenced by the cultural traditions and practices of the bearers.

Reiki and the Holy Spirit in the Creation

Reiki is present in all creation and it is called "universal energy" It is said to be the source of
            life.

The Holy Spirit is seen to be with Divine attributes and is omniscient. (Heb. 9:14; Cor 2:10-
11).  In Gen. 1:2, the Holy Spirit is seen as "The Spirit of God hovering over the face of the
waters .  It is also known as "ruach" in Genesis which means breath, wind, or divine energy.

Reiki and the Holy Spirit Are Received Thru A Blessing

A Reiki practitioner receives an attunement from a Reiki Master to become a practitioner. The
original word for attunement in Japanese is Reiju which means "Rei"-spiritual and "ju"
means blessing. Therefore, attunement means spiritual blessings.

The Holy Spirit is also received as a blessing. The blessing of the Holy Spirit is in the
sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, Healing (Annointing of the Sick) and in the Act of the
Reconcilliation through the presence of the priest.(John 15; Gal. 4:6)

Reiki and the Holy Spirit Are The Same with Spiritual  Goal

The goal of Reiki is to find our true Spiritual Nature, translated into finding our True Self. It
is the spiritual energy that birngs us closer to the Divine Creator.

The Holy Spirit is no different.  The Holy Spirit acts as a Life Giver, Luke 1:35 "Archangel
Gabriel said to Mary - the Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High
            will over shadow you."

The Holy Spirit is the considered the Advocate - the helpers and comforter. It is the
Sanctifier - the one who does the blessing and the Illuminator, the one who fills up the
            spirit.

The Manifestation of Reiki and the Holy Spirit  Are No Different

Here are the gifts of Reiki to a practitioner:

            1.  Knowledge and wisdom on things and life
            2.  Inner understanding and ability to prophesy
            3.  Knowing the past, present and future
            4.  Ability to know the mind of another person
            5.  Ability to know the relationships of people
            6.  Ability to heal.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit are presented as the same:

            1.  Gifts of Revelation that can manifest as having inner knowledge and wisdom and the
                  ability of discerning of spirit
            2.  Power Gifts such as gifts of faith, working of miracles, and gift of healing.
             3.  Utterance Gifts seen in the gifts of prophecy, gifts of difference tongues, and
                  interpretation of tongues.

Blessed Are you Who are Living with the Grace of Reiki and the Holy Spirit

The grace of living and practicing Reiki is seen in practicing the Five Reiki Principles
which brings : Peace, Trust, Faith, Gratitude, Service and Love.

The Fruits of the Holy Spirit is no different : Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness,
            Goodness, Faithfulness, Helpfulness, Self-Control (Temperance).

Reiki and the Holy Spirit Speak of the Same Way to Find God

Both have the same spiritual way. With Reiki, a practitioner is asked to do spiritual
practices which includes Reiki Meditation, Self Healing, Meditation, Healing Others, and
living with the Reiki Principles (Just For Today, I will not be Angry. Just For Today, I wil
not worry. Just For today, I will be grateful. Just For Today, I will work hard. Just For
Today I will respect all creation.)

Christians follow the Ten Commandments and spiritual work of prayers, reading the
Holy Scripture, and Service.

So, What is the Difference between Reiki and the Holy Spirit

In my practice and analysis, there is no difference. The only differecne between Reiki and the Holy Spirit is cultural in origin. One is developed with the Eastern concept and tradition. While the Holy Spirit is influenced by the Western thoughts.

There is only one God that prevails. The only difference comes from the human minds of lower forms who are still stuck in separeteness and duality. To practice one's Christianity and Reiki is no different from a doctor who practices his religion  while fulfilling his profession.

Let us release the confusion. There is no confusion when we work with the love and service.

I am a Christian who teaches and practices Reiki.
You are a Christian and can practice Reiki.

One with Love
One with Healing
One with God!

Lights and Love,

Aisa

DEVELOPING LOVE THROUGH REIKI

Reiki is a path to LOVE.  Learning Reiki is a journey of understanding the multi-faceted love
There are three levels of love – Self-Love, Soul Love, and Universal Love. Each level is attained and understood in a developmental process of life experience.

Start Your Journey of Love Through Self-Love

We learn how to develop our Self-Love in the First Degree Reki. During this level we are taught how to connect to our body and to ourselves. We go into a 21-Day Self-Healing to start our journey of love. This is our way of accepting that the way to heal others is to heal ourselves and the way to love others is to love ourselves. This is an act of humility.

Spending a 10 minute up to 30 minute or more of Self-Healing allows us to claim our sacred time and space amidst this  busy schedule of worldly tasks.  At first, it is hard for others to realize that there is a sacred time for each one of us. However, it is indeed possible to claim this time in the  1440 minutes of a day.  There is no reason that we can’t find a time.

Consistent Self-Healing develops our self-awareness. By laying our hands to each part of our body (representing the energy centers), we connect us to our body. We become sensitive which energy center and part of our body needs healing. We become sensitive to our own energy fields. We yearn to cleanse more and enhance more of our energy fields day by day.

The common question is “when do we stop healing ourselves?”   We never stop healing ourselves. After our first 21 Day of Self-Healing, we continue to do self-healing whenever we feel need it for the rest of our lives.  This is our energetic way of feeding our body and soul. Our goal is purification of our body and spirit to have a happy and joyful life on earth.

I look forward to my time of Self-Healing. I have a regular weekly Self-Healing combined with kotodama every Sunday. I also do it anytime I feel I need it, especially during those times when I can’t go back to bed. The practice really balances me.

To emphasize the need for Self-Healing to my students, I no longer give a certificate of Reiki First Degree unless one has completed the 21 day self-healing. The reason is to ensure that every student get it right, that first lesson of Reiki  is Self-Healing.

Let us spend a time for ourselves. Start loving ourselves. Do Self-Reiki every day.

Heal Others - Level UP From Self-Love

On the Second Degree Reiki, we learn how to heal our emotions, mental and spiritual body. We also learn how to do distance healing. This is the door that opens us to the Soul-Love.

What is Soul-Love?

Soul-Love is the stage of loving where we see our connectedness in thoughts, emotions, and spirit.  There is no separateness among creation.  There is no distance in existence. Soul love leads us to foster love for the humanity and for all creation.

In the Second Degree Reiki, we learn how to heal our thoughts, emotion and spirit through the use of Reiki symbols.  Symbols do not have the power, but they remind our sub-conscious mind to heal the beyond the physical body. Symbols are activators of the sub-conscious mind.

Thoughts and emotions are not bounded by our physical body. Our thoughts and emotions relate and connect to the other thoughts and emotions of any human being and other creation. When we clear our thoughts and emotions, we clear the thoughts and emotions of the others who are already open to healing, and more so, even affect the others who are not.

When we do distant healing for others, we are reminded that nothing in this world is separated. Distance is an illusion. Our deepest need is to overcome our separateness. Yet, in this oneness, we permit to be oneself.

When we continue to heal ourselves and others, we enhance our ability to love beyond ourselves. We do not only love our own nation but we love all. We not only love our own ideals and beliefs, but we respect and see the beauty in others. No judgment. We open our hearts to serve humanity. We develop our group love consciousness which is the characteristics of the Soul.   This is the Soul-Love.

Let us elevate our loving to Soul-Love! Let us remove our illusion of separation! Heal! Connect! Love!

Guide for Healing Others below:

Sharing Love - Reiki Healing for Others

Reach Out To Cosmic Love

Love in the Soul gradually develops from love of humanity into love universal or cosmic love – a love that expresses not only love of humanity, but also love of all forms of divine manifestation.  In this level of love, we are one with Divine Creation.

When we aspire to become Reiki Master-Teachers, we open our hearts to the Cosmic Love. We start our path to become co-creators of Spiritual Lights for everyone.

In the Third Degree Reiki, in teaching Reiki and in attuning others to become practitioners, we manifest love beyond humanity. We become Spiritual Teachers of Light. We ignite the light of the Soul in every attunement. We open the highest potentiality of every soul heal oneself and start the journey of Love. This is a very noble act and higher form of service. This is the Cosmic Love.

In the Cosmic Love, we become aware of Life as it is. We become more alive, knowing that there is no death in existence but a journey towards Light. We know our true nature as a Divine Being and our true task in the expanding Universe.

In the Cosmic Love, we work with the Devas, Angels, Ascended Masters, and other Light
Beings to create a better world for humanity. We are moved to work with the Spiritual Beings to create oneness and balance in the cosmos.

I love teaching Reiki. I love to see my students become Teachers of Light. I love to see how each Soul journey in this Path of Love. In this feeling of endless inner joy, I lift my deepest Gratitude.

I invite everyone to take the path to Love, from Self-Love to Soul-Love, and to the Cosmic Love!

There are many ways to take this journey, Reiki is one path.

Lights and Love To Everyone!
